Recent Beauty Buys

Happy Monday friends! We had a fun weekend of hanging out with our girls and then getting up to The Grove Park on Saturday night to celebrate one of our best friend’s birthdays. We live not too far from Asheville and go up from time to time so I thought I would make a city guide for you all. The Beauty Buys page is basically the holy grail of all of my favorite items from each type of product I use. Sometimes products that I try (like this concealer) are so good they make it to the list of my favorites and other times I review them in posts like these but they maybe aren’t good enough to replace my tried and true favorites. Nevertheless I love to tell you guys all about them because something that is a “really good” for me might become your “never leave home without it”.

Laura Geller Swirl Illuminator in Gilded Honey: This illuminator applies like a powder but is so creamy and smooth on the skin. Apply it on the tops of your cheek bones and lightly on the outer edges of your brow bones for a sun-kissed glow.

Tula Multi-Spectrum Eye Renewal Serum – This serum works to correct dark circles, crow’s feet and puffiness. I put it on morning and night and layer under their eye cream. L’Oreal Infallible Pro Contour Palette – This is a great drugstore contouring palette if you want to try our contouring or if you’re just not into spending a lot on beauty products!

Amika Dry Shampoo – I got this in my Birchbox and really like it! Not only does it not make your hair white or greasy it actually helps to restore your hair. I will be buying more of their products!

Sephora Instant Nail Polish Remover Wipes – This one is pretty self-explanatory but I like these because they have enough liquid on the wipes to get the polish off and they don’t try out my hands.

L’Oreal Infallible Lipstick – A great drugstore lipstick that gives you good color + moisture.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – My new favorite concealer. Hands down. I have it in the Cream Brulee color bc I like my concealers to be lighter and I have pink undertones in my skin.

Fresh Toner – This toner is alcohol-free and said to moisturize your skin for 24 hours! You can use it to prep skin, set makeup or just give yourself some hydration throughout the day. This stuff has been getting my prone-to-be dry skin through the winter!
