I’ve been meaning to write this post down for a while. We know I don’t like to cook, but I can food-prep for days and make a mean charcuterie board. Zach on the other hand is great at making all kinds of food, especially grilling. We use a lot of the wild game he hunts but his go-to for weeknight meals is making chicken thighs, and recently we have loved crisping them up in the air fryer.
Need an air fryer? QVC has this Ninja one we like. You can use code HOLIDAY for $15 off your purchase of $25 or more if you’re a first-time customer. Already shopped QVC? Use HELLO10 for $10 off your purchase of $25 or more.
Yes, you read that correctly. We’ve been using the Ninja Air Fryer that we got from QVC for a ton of recipes. I make okra and brussels using the air fryer non-stop and it’s the perfect tool for crisping up any type of baked chicken. You can grill or bake a chicken breast or thigh and then pop it in the air fryer or you can cook them in the air fryer from start to finish.
Zach’s Chicken Thigh Marinade Recipe
Bear with me for this recipe as I am not a recipe person and Zach isn’t exactly great at measuring. I have watched him make these chicken thighs in the air fryer several times and we have written down the steps as best we can.
- Place 6 chicken thighs in an air-tight container that you can refrigerate overnight.
- Squeeze the juice of 3 large oranges into the container.
- Cover the chicken & juice mixture with the honey bbq sauce of your choice. We use Carolina vinegar sweet and tangy bbq sauce.
- Drizzle Frank’s Red Hot over tip.
- Sprinkle several dashes of Tony’s creole seasoning over the mixture.
- Add in 3 shakes of balsamic vinegar.
- Slice a fresh jalapeno on top.
- Close the container, give it a few shakes & refrigerate overnight.
Directions for Cooking Chicken Thighs in the Air Fryer
If you cook them in the air fryer, we usually do 375 degrees for around 15-17 minutes!
Kitchen Items from QVC
Besides the air fryer, we’ve been getting more and more kitchen gadgets from QVC lately. I have picked out several cutting boards, these juice squeezers, and plenty of glass bowls for food prep & storage. They have a great selection of name brands and their sales are really great. I also love their return policy. If someone on your Christmas list has been wanting an air fryer or any other kitchen gadget, I highly suggest ordering from QVC because any item purchased between now and literally the last minute on Christmas Eve can be returned by January 31, 2022.
