Today I’m chatting with one of my favorite paper & lifestyle boutiques, Mac & Murphy. Located in the historic Cannonbourogh section of Charleston, SC, this charming storefront is full of the cutest gifts, accessories, greeting cards and journals your eyes ever did see! They have a beautiful collection of stationery and their selection of art prints would brighten up any desk, bedside table or kitchen nook. In addition to their products for sale they create custom invitations second to none. I worked with them to design invitations for Burgess’s baby shower luncheon and they were delightful, easy to work with and produced a beautiful product.

Check out my Q&A with owners Ami Murphy and Liz Macpherson below and make sure to swing by their store next time you are in Charleston, SC. You can also keep up with them on instagram, twitter & facebook.

How did Mac & Murphy get started?

We started Mac & Murphy in 2009 with a shared love of paper and pretty things, and seeing that a store devoted to it was missing in Charleston.

The name Mac & Murphy derives from your names, correct? What helped you decide on it?

To make the name personal we decided to use our last names which fortunately started with the same letter.
